Dr. Sexton was born and raised just outside of Rapid City, South Dakota, and developed a strong passion for science and healthcare from a young age. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a double major in Biology and Microbiology, from South Dakota State University (GO JACKS!).

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a double major in Biology and Microbiology, from South Dakota State University (GO JACKS!). With a desire to have a more direct impact on patient care, Dr. Sexton pursued a Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO), graduating with Cum Laude distinction and clinical honors. Her comprehensive clinical training included rotations focused on Surgery Co-Management at Mid Florida Eye Center, Ocular Disease at the Lexington, KY Medical Center, Specialty Contact Lens evaluations at ICO, and Primary Care Optometry at Malmstrom Air Force Base.
Dr. Sexton is an active member of several esteemed organizations, including the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, Tomb and Key Honor Society, the Montana Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. After completing her training, Dr. Sexton began providing exceptional optometric care in Great Falls, Montana, where she has built a reputation for her compassionate and patient-centered approach. Following 12 years of practice as a clinician, she opened her own solo office, where she continues her mission of offering high-quality, personalized care to families in the region.
Dr. Sexton’s clinical expertise includes Primary Care Optometry for patients of all ages, Medical Management of complex ocular conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and dry eye, as well as Specialty Contact Lenses for patients with unique visual needs. She is committed to providing detailed, evidence-based care while balancing efficiency with compassion. Dr. Sexton believes in a collaborative, patient-centered approach, ensuring that each patient’s concerns are heard and addressed. If there is ever a question she cannot answer, she is dedicated to finding the right solution or referring patients to the appropriate specialist. Dr. Sexton’s commitment to excellence and her passion for making a positive impact on her patients’ lives are what drive her every day. She is proud to be a trusted healthcare provider in the Great Falls community and looks forward to continuing to serve families with the highest standard of care.
Outside the office, Dr. Sexton enjoys life’s simple pleasures, from walking her dog and baking something sweet to getting creative with crafts. When she’s not spending time with her husband and two kids or enjoying the outdoors, she values moments that allow her to relax, recharge, and stay connected with family.
